Hello, I recently migrated to opensolaris after using linux and freebsd for a
couple years. I am quickly falling in love with the system. My primary use
for THIS computer is desktop usage but i have a fileserver i'm considering
switching to solaris.

Because of how great i found Opensolaris to be i thought i'd give Solaris Express
Community Edition a try. One thing i really like is the option of installing to
mirrored zfs. Some other stuff seems slightly different from opensolaris, and i need to
know the proper way to "fix" it or set it up.

For instance, the install didn't allow me to create both a root user and an "admin" user
account like the opensolaris install does. I've been able to log in as root and create a user but
how do i convert the system to the "root" role type system of opensolaris?

Also, how to i give my user account the ability to behave like it does in
opensolaris (when i type pfexec bash i don't get a root terminal, i can log in
with su but that is different)
you can run user-admin to add "Primary Administrator" role to the account you created.
