Also make sure that neither LD_PRELOAD or LD_LIBRARY_PATH is set in shell environment from when firefox is run. I used to have LD_LIBRARY_PATH in my interactive shell environment when I was running Solaris but since switching to OpenSolaris I found it was causing more problems than it solved and I have since removed it from the env.
