I'm sure this issue has mentioned in other posts. I had similar problems and 
setting environment variable "#set PKG_CLIENT_TIMEOUT=2000" should solve your 
timeout problems. Yes this is bit shoddy, trying to remember this is an alpha 
OS moving very rapidly. :-)
