Hi, my problems is with a RealtekRTL8168/8111 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC,
according to what I've read in other threads, it is already supported in
Solaris, and when I check the drivers my Solaris installation has, that one is
already included and called rge0. The thing is that I tried to establish a
pppoe connection through it, i configured everything correct (not the first
time, but I was later assisted by James Carlson, who works at Solaris
Networking sector), after a lot of research, we ended up tracing the packages
sent by the rge0 interface that was plumbed and everything, the discovery
packages (traced with the snoop tool) were ok, the were identical to the ones
sent by Windows that is installed on the same machine (mine, which can
connect). According to Carlson's conclusion: "either the packets never make it
out onto the wire or the responses
never make it into the system.", but again, I can connect through Windows. He
