Sorry for the veeery late response. Tunla, I followed your instructions, here is the output: # ifconfig -a gives rge0 as not configured, but gives a sppp0 that appears configured because the inet field has an ip that appears right
#netstat -nr yields this default 200.40.19.67 UG 1 0 200.40.19.67 190.0.137.233 UH 1 0 sppp0 127.0.0.1 127.0.0.1 UH 1 311 lo0 The file /etc/nsswitch.conf looks pretty much like the default one, I mean all entries contain the word "file", I don't recognize any particular dns configuration (but if the file it refers are configured then it should be configured right?), and the file /etc/resolv.conf doesn't exist :( Finally: #svcs -a | grep dns yields: disabled 10:09:15 svc:/network/dns/multicast:default disabled 10:09:15 svc:/network/dns/server:default offline 10:09:14 svc:/network/dns/client:default That's it. Any suggestion? This message posted from opensolaris.org
