It looks like you don't have DNS set up. Copy /etc/nsswitch.dns to /etc/nsswitch.conf then reboot. The following command will verify if your connection to the internet is working:
ping 216.239.122.102 If it says "216.239.122.102 is alive" then it is working. Next, try: ping zdnet.com Again, "zdnet.com is alive" will indicate success. Cheers Andrew. This message posted from opensolaris.org
