The original release of Solaris 10 did not include ZFS as it wasn't ready for 
production use at that time (April 2005). ZFS was added to Solaris 10 06/06 
(known internally as Update 3) which was released in July 2006, so books 
focused on Solaris 10 that do not contain information about ZFS are at least 2 
years old. For details of what has been added in each update release of Solaris

You can also find details of the new features in previous Solaris releases on 
other pages on docs.sun.com.

While books for Solaris 10 are relevant to OpenSolaris, new features such as an 
in-kernel CIFS (aka Windows Networking) server are not in Solaris 10. (The 
in-kernel CIFS server will more than likely never be backported to Solaris 10 
due to the fairly extensive kernel changes required.
