Hi, If just removing and re-plugging the USB devices works, you may just need to disconnect and reconnect (and possibly reconfigure) the devices using "cfgadm" (man cfgadm) However, loading and unloading of usb driver *maybe* possible. I currently use the trick with my flacky network driver (buggy NIC!!). # modinfo | grep usb Note the first column (ID) of the interesting drivers. #modunload -i ID to unload the driver and then use modload to load them again. But you probably won't need this step. One more thought. It might be possible that the HDD is culprit. USB hdd, those which pull in power from USB, can sink a lot of current during spin-up. The Mac Mini being made of portable/laptop components might not really like it. In that case the chipset would simply either cut-off current (good implementations) or may get borked (usually). So try attaching devices one by one and try to isolate the culprit. HTH - Akhilesh This message posted from opensolaris.org
