You can disable the gui with "svcadm disable gdm" and then re-enable it
when you're done.
If you were using later builds, from the /dev repo, or 2010.03 when it
comes out, then you could just hit Ctrl-Alt-F1 to switch to a virtual
console running in text mode, but that's not functional yet in 111b.
