uname gives me this SunOS corvus 5.11 snv_35 sun4u sparc SUNW, SUN-Blade-100 which is not what I was getting before the boot which was something like SunOS corvus 5.11 OpenSolaris-build 35 SUNW , SUN-Blade-100 I saw an earlier post on how to distinguish between what OS we are using and that mentions uname !! ! So if I dont get any mention of Opensolaris ( the $VERSION variable that I set in the nightly ) in the uname -a , does that mean the boot is using my compiled Opensolaris kernel ?
