Soft Linden told me that he suggested 64-bit back in 2008, given the state of 32-bit compatibility in 64-bit distros. Also said Linux was a tiny segment and most Linux users were running 32-bit. (ubuntu SL users having twice the number of other distro users...combined) I suggested that one of the reasons for some SL Linux users running 32 was the fact that it's a pain in the ass to get SL releases running on 64-bit. And it's annoying to no end that I have to install 32 bit flash just so I can have flash on web-on-a-prim work. CronoCloud
