Hmm... This brings me to another idea. Something similar was proposed on
slashdot a few days back:
Would it be possible to port autoconf/m4 to Perl?
make the whole thing run in Perl from start to finish. Are there other
projects that would benefit from this as well? That would end this
discussion once and for all, and for all projects, since Perl ports
are proliferating like rabbits.
