They've done quite a bit of work with that before OpenSSL had any shared library support at all. I don't recall the specific details, and will probably not have the time to investigate further before the end of september. All I know is that there have been some reports saying that trying to replace libcrypto.so.2 and libssl.so.2 with something that one has compiled oneself just doesn't work. It's possible this has changed. Unfortunately, I'm not a RedHat user, and I don't have any RedHat system to play with, so I can't try doing this myself. -- Richard Levitte \ Spannvägen 38, II \ [EMAIL PROTECTED] Redakteur@Stacken \ S-168 35 BROMMA \ T: +46-8-26 52 47 \ SWEDEN \ or +46-708-26 53 44 Procurator Odiosus Ex Infernis -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] Member of the OpenSSL development team: http://www.openssl.org/ Unsolicited commercial email is subject to an archival fee of $400.
