??? 'config' tells apart 32- and 64-bit HP/UX kernels since long time
ago. Look for 'getconf KERNEL_BITS'.

Even though probability that some user would have kernel image some
other place is diminishingly low, formally it's not appropriate to
'file /stand/vmunix', as user is free to boot /whatever/image. A.
