Indeed, if that is the case, reverting to:
  fluidsynth-1.0.8-40.3.x86_64
  libfluidsynth1-1.0.8-40.3.x86_64

solved my problems but I was getting segfault, not the problems described
my Marco, and, he said, iirc, that he didn't have the problem under kde,
but did under gnome.
