But what could be done is including a SUSE kernel with Con's patches and state clearly that this is a testing kernel, no support, no official kernel, use at your own risk, bla, bla, bla, ... So those who are interested could install it, test it and report back. I guess Linus doesn't integrate these patches 'cuz of stability, testing, reliability, ... issues. Not too many people are testing these patches or are giving back feedback.
