Indeed, all the usual caveats apply - my main workstation is fairly
generic, and the vanilla kernel works. intel mobo, intel video, intel
networking etc. Those with exotic hardware or 3rd party drivers would
have more work to do - so don't nuke the original kernel and leave
yourself up the creek in case of problems.
