I don't particularly like actions.xml, and I really like the simplicity of
views.properties. I find it much easier to read.

I'm ambivalent about deprecating views.properties only because it is a bitch
to maintain in a multi-user environment. At early stages in a project, it is
a heavily edited file that CVS doesn't always play well with. The upside of
actions.xml is the ability to separate the file out into multiple XML
documents and aggregate them in actions.cml using the XML entity format.
