Ok, I was able to solve this by runing updatedb. But now, I'm again at the same point that I reached with OpenVAS4. If I run the check it tells me to run openvasmd --rebuild whilst the openvassd is running. When I try to run openvassd I get this:
# openvassd log_init():open : No such file or directory Could not open the logfile, using stderr dup2 : Bad file descriptor fdopen : Bad file descriptor rules_new():open : No such file or directory All plugins loaded bind() failed : Address already in use So the daemon will not run and, therefore, I can't rebuild the database (or run OpenVAS for that matter).
