I can document the interfaces at some point and send that to you if you want
to reimplement that in OpenWFERu... I have also added the publishing of
resources as they change to a pubsub interface.  This allows users to be
notified when changes occur (new workflows, new definitions, successful
execution...).  I am using an OpenFire backend and xmpp4r gem.  I have
developed a RESTful interface to OpenFire dubbed OPSB (OGC
Publish/subscribe) to make it easy on users to create subscriptions and
notification preferences.

So there is now a RESTful API with Atom input/output as well as publishing
of Atom entries!
