At this point it makes me think that ALTovcore and ALTlibmcrypt are not the correct pkgs for my Solaris. The package versions I’m using are:

ALTlibmcrypt-2.5.8-2-sol10-i386.pkg

ALTmrtg-2.16.1-sol10-i386.pkg

ALTovbase-3.5.0.3643-sol10-sparc_64.pkg

ALTovcore-3.5.0.3643-sol10-sparc.pkg

ALTovperl-3.5.0.256-sol10-sparc.pkg

ALTovreport-2.2.2.251-sol10-all.pkg

ALTovweb-3.5.0.3643-sol10-sparc.pkg

ALTrrdtool-1.2.27-sol10-i386.pkg

ALTsnmpsess-1.11-sol10-i386.pkg

If these are the packages you are using, then here is your problem - all the packages need to be for Sparc and you have some i386 ones in here.   This also explains the wrong ELF class

Error: Starting opsview... ld.so.1: nsca: fatal: /usr/local/lib/libmcrypt.so.4: wrong ELF data format: ELFDATA2LSB
