Hi again!

Duncan, thanks for your quick response!

The packages I’m using:

ALTlibmcrypt-2.5.8-2-sol10-i386.pkg

ALTmrtg-2.16.1-sol10-i386.pkg

ALTovbase-3.5.0.3643-sol10-sparc_64.pkg

ALTovcore-3.5.0.3643-sol10-sparc.pkg

ALTovperl-3.5.0.256-sol10-sparc.pkg

ALTovreport-2.2.2.251-sol10-all.pkg

ALTovweb-3.5.0.3643-sol10-sparc.pkg

ALTrrdtool-1.2.27-sol10-i386.pkg

ALTsnmpsess-1.11-sol10-i386.pkg

Were downloaded from the sol10/sparc64/ directory at download.opsera.com:
http://downloads.opsera.com/opsview/solaris/community/sol10/sparc64/

[ ] ALTgraphviz-2.20.3-sol10-i386.pkg.gz 26-Nov-2009 12:12 3.3M

[ ] ALTovperl-3.5.0.256-sol10-sparc.pkg.gz 26-Nov-2009 12:12 13M

[ ] ALTovreport-2.2.2.251-sol10-all.pkg.gz 26-Nov-2009 12:12 15M

[ ] ALTsnmpsess-1.11-sol10-i386.pkg.gz 26-Nov-2009 12:12 26K

As you can see, there are i386, sparc, and sparc64 packages.

Can you tell me if the content of that directory is correct? Where can I
find the right packages?

Thank you very much!!!

PD: $ perl -v

This is perl, v5.8.4 built for sun4-solaris-64int

(with 32 registered patches, see perl -V for more detail)

At this point it makes me think that ALTovcore and ALTlibmcrypt are not the
correct pkgs for my Solaris. The package versions I’m using are:

ALTlibmcrypt-2.5.8-2-sol10-i386.pkg

ALTmrtg-2.16.1-sol10-i386.pkg

ALTovbase-3.5.0.3643-sol10-sparc_64.pkg

ALTovcore-3.5.0.3643-sol10-sparc.pkg

ALTovperl-3.5.0.256-sol10-sparc.pkg

ALTovreport-2.2.2.251-sol10-all.pkg

ALTovweb-3.5.0.3643-sol10-sparc.pkg

ALTrrdtool-1.2.27-sol10-i386.pkg

ALTsnmpsess-1.11-sol10-i386.pkg

If these are the packages you are using, then here is your problem - all the
packages need to be for Sparc and you have some i386 ones in here. This
also explains the wrong ELF class

Error: Starting opsview... ld.so.1: nsca: fatal:
/usr/local/lib/libmcrypt.so.4: wrong ELF data format: ELFDATA2LSB
