Hi Duncan,

I’m using OpsView 3.5 in Solaris10 sparc64. I recentrly updated from 3.4 to
3.5 using pkgadd –d of all the new packages. I had a problem with the
ALTovreport pkg, because the update via pkgadd –d didn’t worked.

Is there a new version of the ALTovreport-2.2.2.252-sol10-all package? Or
should I remove the old and install this one?

Another thing, in the “graph” menu, when I write in “Host title” there
don’t appear any host... but when I access to any Host Service and I click
on the Graph icon, it works perfectly... (ODW is enabled). Is this related
to the update of the ALTovreport package?

Thanks!!!

Hi Duncan,

I didn’t pkgrm the old ALTovreport to install the new one. I saw today that
you released version 2.2.2.252 of the ALTovreport for Solaris Sparc 64, and
I tried to install it without having removed the old one. I get the same
exit:

#####################

$ /usr/local/bin/sudo /usr/sbin/pkgadd -d
ALTovreport-2.2.2.252-sol10-all.pkg

The following packages are available:

  1 ALTovreport Opsview reports module

                     (all) 2.2.2.252

Select package(s) you wish to process (or 'all' to process

all packages). (default: all) [?,??,q]:

Processing package instance <ALTovreport> from
</home/catrian/ALTovreport-2.2.2.252-sol10-all.pkg>

.

.

.

Current administration requires that a unique instance of the

<ALTovreport> package be created. However, the maximum number of

instances of the package which may be supported at one time on the

same system has already been met.

No changes were made to the system.

#####################

Please tell me if I wait for the version with this solved, or directly pkgrm
and pkgadd the package?

Thanks!

Should I erase the older one or not?

The one I have installed is ALTovreport-2.2.2.251-sol10-all.pkg

Yes, pkgrm the old one first - I'll sort out the packaging for that soon.
