Hello Ralph,

This is how we do this :
Less then 5 servers = open port forwards to additional servers ,
configure nsclient on different ports , and make exceptions in the
service checks to change the ports.
More then 5 servers = create vpn tunnel and check via the tunnel
More then 10 servers = Install Slave server on virtual PC / Virtual
server at client location , port forward ssh to this slave server.

Just our ideas of the setup.

Peter

Subject: [opsview-users] monitor natted servers behind 1 public ip

Hello,

I have to monitor a number (approx of Windows servers which are placed
behind a router with one public ip address.
For one server I use port redirection on the firewall/router, but
additional servers is difficult since I have only one public ip. What is
the best way to monitor these servers?
Thanks and regards,

Ralph W.
