I would like to create a notification escalation...

First, the notification is sent by EMail to the support team, this notification can be repeated (it's beter repeated, but not absolutly necessary).

Secondly, if the support team did not handle the problem before a determined timeout, another notification is sent by SMS to the level 2 support team, but only one SMS.

Third, after another timeout, if nobody reacted, another SMS is sent to the level 3 support team, only one SMS.

It seems for me a logical escalation, it's how it should work for a lot of monitoring systems... but i do not see with opsview how to only send 1 sms... once the timeout occured, it send another SMS for every renotification interval...

How did you handle this kind of escalation ?

Currently, we don't handle this kind of escalation.

We added the "notify from X onwards" field, but did this as a patch to Nagios. I'm thinking that we should convert this over to use nagios' contactescalation definitions instead and at the same time include a "notify stops from X onwards".

However, this is not on our immediate roadmap. If you'd like to sponsor this change, that would raise the priority of it.
