When you get that "trying to reconnect" warning has the client connection been idle at all during that time? I believe you said that this happens randomly during a write, correct? How long does each call to writeDocument typically take to complete? Also, try adding a call to graph.commit() in writeDocument(). I'm curious if that makes any difference or throws a different exception. I'm assuming your reconnect warning appears when graph.shutdown() is called. However, it would be helpful if you could isolate what's being called in writeDocument() when this occurs.
