What are thinking the standard format should be, including updates?

Should I assume <distro><version><update>-<arch>, such as:

rhel3u5-ia64
rhel4-ia32
rhel4u2-x86_64
sles9sp2-ia32
suse9.3-x86_64

Subject: [Oscar-devel] distro directories

Hello:

I'd like to propose that all packages provide a directory for each
supported distro-arch pair, i.e. the directories under
packages/*/distro/ have to be fully qualified as in rhel4-ia64 and we no
longer allow things like fc/ or fc-i386/ or rhel4/ etc.

Yes, this may mean our tarball will become more bulky, but I think it's
just much easier to deal with a standard rather than having so much
variations in the naming.

If everybody's okay with that, I'd like to start re-organizing ASAP.

Thanks,

Bernard
