Hi Doug:
I've updated the master
repository XML with the following info. If you are testing trunk, it'll
show up via OPD:
<site>
<uri>http://oscar-devel.cs.usd.edu/repository/5/</uri>
<name>University of South Dakota OPD
repository</name>
<location>Vermillion, SD, USA</location>
</site>
Please let me know if you
want to update any information.
Thanks,
Bernard
Bernard:
Sorry, I should have
mentioned I set up an OSCAR 5 repository here:
http://oscar-devel.cs.usd.edu/repository/5/
I’ll take a look at
Open MPI also.

Hi
Doug:
Perhaps you can start
by putting up a new repository for mpiBLAST for OSCAR5 - I assume you have made
modifications to config.xml since the schema is different between OSCAR 5 and
OSCAR 4.x.
Thanks,
Bernard
P.S. OSCAR 5 will also
support Open MPI, yet another MPI implementation for you to play with regarding
mpiBLAST :-)

Hi,
Bernard:
Unfortunately I have
not been able to test the mpiBLAST package on OSCAR 5 for several weeks, but
the last time I did it was working with Torque, but not SGE.

Yes, currently PVM
does not work under SGE - I'm having quite a bit of problem pinpointing the
exact issues so if you figure it out, please let me know
:-)
Anyways, I believe
the reason why tests failed for other libraries afterwards is because one of
the nodes was marked as in the "Error" state (and therefore you no longer have
enough nodes to test...) You should be able to find that out using the
command "qhost" (it will be marked with an "E"). You should also be able
to see that via qmon in queue status.
P.S. Did you have a
chance to test mpiBLAST under OSCAR 5.0?

Hello,
I have been testing the 20060605
build of OSCAR5 on CentOS 4.2 i386. Installation and testing worked fine
using torque, but when I tried using SGE, the PVM (via SGE) test failed.
I ran the cluster tests again and MPICH, LAM/MPI, Open MPI, and PVM tests all
failed via SGE.
I set OSCAR_VERBOSE=5 and have
saved my oscarinstall.log and a typescript of the install session, but they’re
both about 4MB, so I wasn’t able to attach them to this message. Has
anyone else had problems with SGE tests?
