Good.
I also had to install systemimager 3.7.6.1 ( make, make binaries, make
install_binaries) by hand.
Why do you need to do that? You could just use Andrea's prebuilt binary RPMs.
For the P5B-VM DO motherboard I have to choose scsi disk for the raid array
odf sata-2 drives so i am creating another client image presently for those
machines. Something that I had not thought of before as it defaults to
ide.disk file.
May be that is the problem for those boards since the chipset is new(Intel
965)
Please see section "Disk partitioning" here:

Hi Bernard,
I need your assistance. I can upload the built rpms for FC6 x86_64
if there is a way to do it.
I re-installed fc6 x86_64 on one machine and had no problems installing
oscar 5.1 from the trunk and
Andreas systemimager. I built the server and client images. I have an
Asrock mobo with a intel 820 pentium d dual core cpu
with two nic ethernet cards both gigabit, one intel pro 1000 gt and
another non-intel and was able to install the client image on it fine.
But with the machine with the intel 965 chipset and sata drives and the
intel pro gt 1000 card ( it's a P5B -VM DO MOBO)
i can pxeboot but dhcp fails. i can see the intel e1000 card driver
being installed. After it fails dhcp( says no connection to server) and
goto the
boot prompt and run ifconfig eth0; i see eth0 but it does not have an ip
attached to it from the dhcp server further more the ip is right as far
as i can see on the inital pxeboot. So I cannot explain this.
Furthermore there is a /lib directory and /lib64 directory on this
client but no modules subdirectory.
when i try insmod e1000 it gives an error saying that /lib/modules does
not exist!
The same thing was happening with this machine with Oscar 5.1 fc6 i386.
Any help would be greatly appreciated in solving the problem!
Note I disabled the on board NIC also intel on this P5B-VM DO mobo just
in case and get the same result.
I have no problem with the Asrock 775i65G mobos. They are an older chipset.
Seems like the boel binarires are not being downloaded to these new mobo
clients?
I actually rebuilt the systemimager from the latest svn and ran make
gconfig on the linux 2.6.18.1 src
and selected the network drivers for e1000 as built in to the kernel and
not modules. Then i copied this .config file to
../patches/linux.x86_64.config
and i also tried it as e1000.ko modules by make binaries make
install_binaries. As modules not even the Asrock mobos work as the
drivers as modules are
not seen by the clients. All they see is lo the loopback!
Thanks,
Best Wishes,
Allan
