Hi Amit, No problem, we all do this kind of mistakes periodically (especially me). Actually we created the Sanity_Check framework for this kind of situation; i am glad to see that it helped you. :-)
If you have other ideas of points we should check, just let us know, as i said before we plan to extend the framework. For instance, we plan to implement a component to check SIS/ODA regarding images and so on. Thanks, Quoting Amit Vyas <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > Sorry for all misunderstanding coz of DB related report; I ran sanity check > after deleting DB :( I apologize again. > > > I started getting following error and https://svn.oscar.openclustergr > oup.org/trac/oscar/changeset/5958 solved it. > > > [EMAIL PROTECTED] trunk]# ./scripts/system-sanity.d/tftpboot-check.pl > Â --------------------------------------------------------- > Â ERROR: Impossible to find a local or online repository in > Â /tftpboot for the distro fedora-5-i386 > Â --------------------------------------------------------- > [EMAIL PROTECTED] trunk]# > > > > I always used mysql console to drop oscar dayabases and removed tmp > directory whenever I wanted to start afresh I guess this has created a huge > mess on my machine. > > this demands a page at wiki for some do's and dont's for new developers :) > > On 6/27/07, Geoffroy Vallée < [EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > > Sorry but the check-in you pointed did not solve at all your DB issue. > > This > > check-in fixes the sanity check of /tftpboot, it was nothing to see with > > the > > DB. > > > > Le mardi 26 juin 2007 16:56, Amit Vyas a écrit: > > > Hi, > > > > > > No not with start_over (it tried to remove a package whose commands I am > > > actively using) ; so I used was using mysql console for that. > > > DB was not a problem ; It got solved by r5958 > > > https://svn.oscar.openclusterg roup.org/trac/oscar/changeset/5958 > > > > > > On 6/24/07, DongInn Kim <[EMAIL PROTECTED] > wrote: > > > > Hi Amit, > > > > > > > > How did you drop your OSCAR database? > > > > > > > > Are you testing it after running "start_over"? > > > > If so and the db stuff still has a problem, please do "oda remove_oda" > > > > on your root prompt and then test it again. > > > > The above command will clean out all the old oscar database which > > caused > > > > the duplicated entry problems. > > > > > > > > Please let me know what you have got. > > > > > > > > Cheers, > > > > > > > > - DongInn > > > > > > > > Amit Vyas wrote: > > > > > Hi, > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > On 6/23/07, [EMAIL PROTECTED] <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > > >* > > > > > <[EMAIL PROTECTED] <mailto: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >> wrote: > > > > > > > > > > Hi, > > > > > > > > > > Your problem is very simple: it seems that the OSCAR database > > does > > > > > not exist, > > > > > which is kind of weird. > > > > > Did you drop the database at some point?
