This is among the best Email thread that I ever read realted to our OSS future. Really this pas few weeks all of you really aspiring. OSCC is part of much larger MAMPU OSS Policy. Its for Public Sectors. Ie Malaysian Gov. Agencies. OSCC has done their best in that area. MDeC also has it own target in OSS. To create World OSS companies. (Umum. Much more needed to be done in our industry) OSS for Malaysia in term of policy as whole. I believe it is all up to us. The community. Remember we are the rakyat. We are the one that going to pick the one that going to set the policy. But at this point of time how many of rakyat Malaysia know about OSS? OSS for me, is all about sharing knowledge and experience. This knowledge sharing that create numbers of OSS solutions, Linux, BSD family, Adempire, MySQL and many more that we have now the whole solution. Gotong royong Internet I called it. To protect products from knowledge sharing, we have OSS licensing and fight against software patent. To get people and later government to support OSS is by sharing knowledge. Teaching the rakyat about OSS, programming using OSS language and tools. That all for now.
