In a recent message thread about Robert's OpenGL ES work keeping him from being able to make a new public release, the following exchange occurred:

I think this is pretty sad. We're all here benefiting from the OSG project, but nobody else is willing to step forward and take on some of Robert's tasks to help keep the project moving? Yeah, we all have day jobs, but really, by doing this work, we're freeing up Robert's time to do other stuff that only he is in a position to do, that we all will probably benefit from. Even if you don't need OGLES2 support yourself, chances are, you'll benefit from the work being done here before long. The release process isn't long, complicated or difficult. It simply needs people who care enough to commit to it and careful enough to follow the steps properly. I'm volunteering to help, but I can't take it all on my shoulders personally. Who else And I don't want to see the same folks step forward who always help out in a pinch. You know who you are. The point of this is to get the rest of community to really contribute, not just lurk on the sides. OSG is a great project (one of the best Open Source projects in my experience) and it could be even better with some more participation.
