I am not sure what will be the benefit of such solution - other plugins require
Collada DOM or Coin3D and are not external. I would keep it off by default since
most people probably do not need VRML support and if somebody needs it, he/she
has to get and build the dependencies anyway. It will be easier to keep in sync
with core OSG in this way - at least concerning changes to the build system or
OSG APIs.

However, I have no problem with it being kept external - I am only not sure
about the advantages/disadvantages of that.
