They should enact laws that make such behavior illegal, with resultant firing and monetary penalties equal to 3x the driver's annual salary. And the rules for denaturalizing naturalized citizens and deportation should be made much easier (based upon the new citizen having lied when they became naturalized). The proper solution to this problem is for every person who is refused service because they have a guide dog, to do three things: 1. Stage a sit-down strike every time, unless they are allowed on board AND treated courteously. 2. Subsequently, they should file lawsuits against the transit companies for Invidiuous Discrimination, Intentional infliction of Emotional Distress, Damages for delay and inability to reach a destination in time, and Failure to Perform their contracted or legislatively mandated duty to the public. 3. Sue the drivers personally and individually, for hate crimes and interference with contract. Normally, Sovereign Immunity Laws prohibit suing goveernment employees, but such immunity is usually waived (at least in the U.S.) if the perpetrator is committing a crime, rather than performing their normal duties. It will be hard for the transit companies or drivers to claim that refusal to do their job is actually the performance of their normal duties. Since bullying is ABSOLUTELY expected from the Moslems in these cases (and most other cases, for that matter), the people with guide dogs need to have a "friends association" formed for the purpose of making sure that the transit companies perform their mandated duties and let the blind or handicapped people on board. I would suggest that the preferred "friends" be volunteers from the local rugby clubs or from the local gang of soccer hooligans. The friends should record the vehicle license numbers, name, and driver license number of every "ride", with follow up notes if necessary. --- Randy Who doesn't give a damn if the Moslems want to remain in the 12th century, but sees no reasons for us to accompany them back. *********************************************************** -----Original Message----- >From: Beowulf <[email protected] ><mailto:beowulf%40westerndefense.net> > >Sent: Jul 19, 2010 8:54 AM >To: [email protected] <mailto:grendelreport%40yahoogroups.com> >Subject: [I-S] UK: Muslim drivers refuse to let guide dogs on board > > > >UK: Muslim drivers refuse to let guide dogs on board > >Via Daily ><http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1295749/Muslim-bus-drivers-refuse-l >et-guide-dogs-board.html> Mail: > > >Blind passengers are being ordered off buses or refused taxi rides because >Muslim drivers or passengers object to their 'unclean' guide dogs. > > >One pensioner, a cancer sufferer, told how had twice been confronted by >drivers and asked to get off the bus because of his guide dog, and had also >faced hostility at a hospital and in a supermarket over the animal. > > >The problem to carry guide dogs on religious grounds has become so >widespread that the matter was raised in the House of Lords last week, >prompting transport minister Norman Baker to warn that a religious objection >was not a r eason to eject a passenger with a well-behaved guide dog. > > >While drivers can use their discretion to refuse to carry non-disabled >passengers with dogs, they are compelled to accept guide dogs under >disability discrimination law. > > >Yesterday both the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association and the National >Federation of the Blind confirmed the problem was common, and, according to >the latter organisation was 'getting worse'. > > >The tension stems from a strand of Islamic teaching which warns against >contact with dogs bec ause the animal's saliva was considered to be impure, >the Muslim Council of Britain said. > >It urged Muslims to show tolerance and common sense over the issue. > >'We need to be flexible on this,' a spokesman said.
