1) Thank you Marc for your input. The material by BushmanK at http://www.openstreetmap.org/user/BushmanK/diary/39720 <http://www.google.com/url?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.openstreetmap.org%2Fuser%2FBushmanK%2Fdiary%2F39720&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNFGR9n7E2sdkYlAeVh6d6Rs1ZXsNg> is indeed interesting, and well expressed. The response by escada <http://www.openstreetmap.org/user/escada> (yourself?) on 22 October 2016 at 09:57 <http://www.openstreetmap.org/user/BushmanK/diary/39720#comment36373> is exactly the situation at the location I initially cited, ie public access by car permitted to both sides of the bollard/barrier, but only pedestrians and cyclists permitted to pass through. 2) Thank you Poutnik for yours - If I understand you correctly, it would be inappropriate to change the OSM data in these barrier/bollard situations - My view also. It would be impractical to manually amend the probably many thousands of equivalent situations, albeit doubtless the process could be automated if it was deemed appropriate by OSM management. 3) Therefore, based on (1) & (2) above, it would seem necessary to introduce a change to the OsmAnd Car routing algorithm. Is that correct? 4) OsmAnd developers - RSVP. Paul W
