I cannot find the exact specs of this phone. Could you look at the RAM of
the phone? I had still until short time ago used the Huawei G300, and there
were two big problems with this phone:
1. RAM size 500 MB - could hardly run the Android 4.1.1. system alone, had
to have any Google app disabled to function
2. had insufficient space for INSTALLING the apps - some of the apps had to
be uninstalled just to get another one on it
Neither could be solved by increasing the storage space (SD card or
deleting something)

OSMAND grew in size since I started using it to almost twice the size. Some
of it can be reduced (uninstall all the unneeded TTS files - any language
you don't use) etc., but it still remains quite big.

Total storage doesn't say much, even if 265 MB free is on the low side. You
have to investigate the really usable space for RUNNING the app.

In my experience with the underpowered phone - the app was still running,
just extremely slow (almost unusable in the long run) and had to be
restarted, but didn't complain about space as such. However, I had the
system on this phone "hacked" into usability - removed everything but the
bare minimum which could still run.

As for possible solutions:
You can reduce the size of the maps (installing only the bare minimum you
need). You do not need the basemap (the phone will be complaining all the
time but you can live without it, if you have the correct local map). This
is however analog with clearing more storage space or adding a SD card,
nothing much to do with the running of the app.
As for the size of the app - going back to a (very) old version of the app
can reduce the size significantly and allow the app to run better. But you
will loose all the new functions.
