I'd be exceedingly tempted by SSD, if cost were not an issue.
But are they speedy? The default ones on my eeepc 901 were bleh, and the one I've got now is better, but noting to write home about I think.

the default one is hey, wait a minute! I've just noticed they changed the damn measure! The first one (for the default SSD) is read: 36597 write: 8566 operation/min
and their SSD is read: 71960 write. 51174, but then it's KByte/sec.

How does one check read/write speed using the terminal? I forgot…
