On a laptop, if I need speed, I'll go for a 7200rpm external drive. I'd rather not have the hottest, most power-consuming drive available in a laptop as my boot drive. There are compelling arguments for running 5400rpm drives instead of 7200rpm drives in portable machines. SSD makes even more sense. -- Jared Earle :: There is no SPORK [email protected] :: http://jearle.eu/ Hosting :: http://cat5.org _______________________________________________ OSX-Nutters mailing list | [email protected] http://lists.tit-wank.com/mailman/listinfo/osx-nutters List hosted at http://cat5.org/
