Same reaction from me too.    It's easy to forget sometimes that there  
are so many good people willing to toss everything aside and do their  
level best to save complete strangers.

During some of the TV coverage one of the passengers said that after  
the plane stopped moving there was an elderly woman and another women  
with a baby 'stuck' in the aisle.

According to the person some man yelled, at the top of his lungs,  
"Women and children first" and the crowd simply parted and let the  
women and child go to the front.

Talks about choking me up..  Made me feel so proud that the people on  
board behaved the way we would all hope to in such an emergency.

and the pilot.  OMG.   There should be a statue of this guy somewhere.

Also, perhaps all that homeland security money wasn't wasted in N.Y.  
after all.  They said that 50 emergency responders were on site about  
6 minutes after they were notified.

Wow.
