Precisely. The problem I have with Jonathan Turley, and Think Progress and Maddow et al on this is not that their argument is without merit. The problem is that they just seem oblivious to the consequences of pursuing their agenda. Obama would loose all the republicans and many of the democrats. Now if Turley were to say something like 'America's honor is at stake. Obama should pursue this even if it means that he has to give up on health care reform, financial reform, his green agenda and everything else.' I would at least respect his grasp of the situation. But Turley acts like he thinks Obama can follow a course that could result in leaders of both parties going to jail without grave consequences. --- Neither a man nor a crowd nor a nation can be trusted to act humanely or to think sanely under the influence of a great fear. -Bertrand Russell, philosopher, mathematician, author, Nobel laureate (1872-1970) _______________________________________________ OSX-Nutters mailing list | [email protected] http://lists.tit-wank.com/mailman/listinfo/osx-nutters List hosted at http://cat5.org/
