My usual recommendation would be one of the following, most likely the  
first.

1TB Seagate ST-310005N1D1AS-RK Barracuda 7200.11, SATA 3Gb/s, 7200  
rpm, 32MB Cache, 8.5 ms
1TB Samsung HD103UJ Spinpoint F1, SATA 3Gb/s, 7200 rpm, 32MB Cache,  
8.9 ms

The Barracudas are superb drives. Oh, and avoid Hitachi Deskstars.
