That's not what room 101 was. If I remember the details, Room 101 was where they put Smith, who had a horrible rat phobia, in a tiny cage with starving rats. The proper analogy is when US interrogators put Abu Zabaydah, who had a horrible insect phobia in a tiny cage with biting insects.
