It's not even that. It's the Sunday Express. Both versions of the Express are like a comic for people with right wing leanings. I've not seen this story repeated anywhere else, and everywhere points to the Express as the original source for the story.
Ironic really, as the people who really could do with 24 hour monitoring (in the UK) seem to be right-wing journalists. Then we could see when they get bored and just make things up. Or hire a private detective to strip away the privacy of an individual by tapping into their phone calls. Or pay thousands of pounds to a thug on a scooter for pictures of a young woman who once shagged Jude Law. Anyway, I love Big Brother. I don't know what your problem is with this idea.
