They don't mind at all. Mine asked me about medical power of attorney, and advanced directives etc, just because he wanted to know my wishes should something bad happen. That led to a pretty good discussion of my desires in the matter. Perhaps that's just a side effect of living in a small town, but it makes sense that doctors should want to know and should tell you what you need to know to make rational decisions. No need to be macabre about it but bad shit happens everyday to someone.
