My grandmother (well, step-grandmother) was just fitted with
a pacemaker at 95. She actually asked the doctor if it would prolong
her life unduly, because she didn't want that, and he said no, it
would just improve the quality of her last few years. Because that is
the sort of thing that happens here in the socialised medicine
killing fields.
Her heart rate had dropped to around 10bpm before. Yeah. I
didn't really knew it got that low.
