Hi all,
I have searched the archive a bit looking for a solution, but, it looks
like there hasnt been a post about this recently.

I need a solution for the case where I have an existing ticket and an
email comes in that _should_ be attached to the existing ticket, but, for
whatever reason it is not (usually because the incoming email didnt have
the ticket number -- or for some reason the email introduced a space
between 2004 and the rest of the ticket number -ahhhh).

I want to take the new ticket (and ticket number) and attach it to the
existing ticket as this is where it belongs... (A merge).

I have tried the kludge of fowarding the ticket back to myself, but, the
otrs system complains if I try to forward the email back to the otrs email
address.

Any thoughts on if this is being worked on, etc.? I dont even need the
general solution to the merge problem, just the case where the incoming
ticket should have been attached to an existing ticket... Heck, I dont
even care if this is implemented as a "reprocess" function where it does
everything the normal incoming ticket does but I can "force" a ticket
number. Then I can just come back and delete the bad ticket..

Thanks,
  Jonathan
