(not that I have any stake in this...)
MYER seem to be discounting the iPod mini to $299 until Sunday - however no other dealers seem to have this price. I'm taking advantage of it for Valentine's day :-) The price has been seen in Sydney & Melbourne so far, it is probably national but I am not sure.
I'm guessing it could be for one of three reasons:
* there's a new model on the way & Apple Oz have tapped MYER to clear the channel
* MYER are losing their Apple reseller status and are just clearing the stock
* demand has been *so* high for the Shuffles that this might shift some demand to the next product family up
