Most likely the reason. As far as model changes go, the mini is overdue for
an upgrade. AppleCentres are a lot more wary of Apple channel stuffing,
plus Myer have really blitzed the advertising this week of the sale. We
have had a catalog plus today's newspaper promoting the $299 sale.

Nah, they only recently have come back on board with Apple. The last Myer
catalog had iBooks, Powerbooks and iMacs, which took up nearly a whole page
with iPods. Good blitz for Apple. With the ex-Dell guy as CEO of Apple
Australia, the marketing has changed a fair bit. They have gone partly back
to the old model of 'high street' department stores selling Macs, as well as
the traditional Apple retailers. Who would have thought 3 years ago that
you could buy an iPod at Target!

Another good reason, especially if they got a good buy break from Apple for
the Minis. I know all the Apple stores here (Perth) are out of stock of
shuffles.
