Hi Darryl;

Thanks for responding…

Indeed – my humidity readings are 10 to 15 points higher than actual, and the temp is also 2-5 deg C higher.

I wonder if it’s something in the Hobby-boards design, or something inherent in the chipset?

You mention that you have other DS18S20’s – can you tell me what brand they are or where you got them?

(Anyone else out there – where do you buy your 1-wire stuff?  Do you design your own boards, or buy them somewhere?)

Thanks much!

Vince

Subject: Re: [Owfs-developers] Troubles with DS2438 and HIH-3610?

I have a hobby boards board also with the same chips. Between it and a bought humidity meter I routinely find 10% + difference in relative humidity readings.

Also the board had an on board DS18S20 digital thermometer. It was at least 3 deg C higher than all my other DS18S20's.

So the question begs itself, how accurate are the 1-wire chips at all?

I'm hoping someone out there has some suggestions, since many of you are working with these chips…
