Hi to all,

I still have problem with my 1wire bus.

I get from

bus.0/statistics/errors
CRC16_errors 0
CRC16_tries 20971
CRC8_errors 81
CRC8_tries 88760

bus.0/statistics/return_codes/responses.0 358105
bus.0/statistics/return_codes/responses.27 41

bus.0/bus.0/interface/statistics/search_errors (13 Clients)
error_pass_1 0
error_pass_2 0
error_pass_3 0
bus.0/bus.1/interface/statistics/search_errors (11 Clients)
error_pass_1 0
error_pass_2 0
error_pass_3 0
bus.0/bus.2/interface/statistics/search_errors/ (9 Clients)
error_pass_1 26
error_pass_2 5
error_pass_3 1
bus.0/bus.3/interface/statistics/search_errors/ (5 Clients)
error_pass_1 0
error_pass_2 0
error_pass_3 0

How do I have to see these Error Counters ?

This is the device list
10.2249AD020800 10.2249AD020800 directory
10.362EAB020800 10.362EAB020800 directory
28.41A5B5040000 28.41A5B5040000 directory
3A.02B307000000 3A.02B307000000 directory
26.682D71010000 26.682D71010000 directory
26.58F59B010000 26.58F59B010000 directory
26.EB009B010000 26.EB009B010000 directory
29.A20000000001 29.A20000000001 directory <--- Atmel (Software Client)
29.A30000000001 29.A30000000001 directory <--- Atmel (Software Client)

But the Problem is with or/without the Atmel Clients existing.

Do I have the chance to see, which "1-wire Partner" has/makes the
problem. Up to now, I just check the values above.

I already checked connections, voltage and cabling, more than once.

Depending on which 1-wire clients I have connected, I suddenly
see some devices double or triple in device list.

I removed all clients and check the cabling, no short cut seen so far.

I removed all shield's of cabling at the end of the cable and now I have
a ripple voltage smaller than 5mV and constant a 5.17 Votage supply.

Almost all 1-wire client are using a BAT54S to reduce noise of the
1-wire signal.

Next step, I would like to use a laboratory power supplies, to see the
use current and regulation. I noticed, that almost the DS2438 makes me
problems, because of the VDD and the VAD Value. Sometimes the VDD value
is below 3 Volt and the VDA show 5.17 (swapped or have the same value).
But the Oszilloscope does not show any problems (but maybe really short
spikes I can not see).

I am using the offical 2.8p15 Version of the standard debian
installation. Is this a known problem of the version 2.8p15 or still
related to a hardware problem. I could not see any related entry in the
offical change log of the owserver, which was telling something in this
matter.

I am pleased about every hint to get closer or fix this problem.

Best regards

Ritchie
